1. RANGOLI

RULES AND REGULATIONS:

  • The criteria for judging will be: choice of design, color combination, cleanliness and overall effectiveness.
  • There will be only one round
  • Only flowers/grass/edible/natural materials/rangoli colors are to be used.
  • Paints, sketch pens, crayons, color pencils and stencils are STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
  • Time limit for Rangoli making is 01 hour.
  • The size of Rangoli should not exceed 3X3 ft.
  • A group of 2 students can participate as a team.

2. SKETCHING COMPETITION (SKETCH A THON)

RULES AND REGULATIONS

  • Maximum two entries per college are allowed
  • The sketch should be theme based (theme would be provided on the spot)
  • The participants would be provided with the drawing paper at the venue
  • Participants have to get their own pencils
  • Only black pencils (any HB) are allowed
  • Maximum time of 45 min. would be given

3. DEBATE (ONE ON ONE)

RULES AND REGULATIONS

  • Participants will be given the topic on the spot.
  • They will have to speak either ‘for’ or ‘against’ the topic, which will be decided by a chit system.
  • Each participant will have 3 minutes to speak. A warning bell will ring after 2.5 minutes.  Exceeding the time limit will be liable for negative marks.
  • Judgment will be made on the basis of debater’s content, fluency and delivery system.
  • No internet access or use of any electronic devices is allowed & referring to a written script during speaking time is discouraged.

4. MOVIE SPOOF (A TWIST IN THE TALE)

RULES AND REGULATIONS

  • A maximum two entries are allowed from each college with 6-8 participants in each team.
  • Time Limit: 8 minutes
  • Props and costumes are to be brought by the participants.
  • Only Bollywood movies are allowed.
  • A bell would ring at 7 minutes, 30 seconds and a final bell at 8 mins. On exceeding the time limit of 8 mins, the team would be negatively marked.
  • Any kind of indecent, inappropriate word or slang should not be used.
  • The act will be judged on the basis of following criteria
    • Stage presentation
    • Content
    • Innovation
    • Coordination
    • Acting and Dialogue delivery

5. PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST: 14th & 15th December 2016

GENERAL RULES:

  1. Theme of photography contest will be announced on the same day in the morning. (you can contact the coordinators for the same )
  2. Photographs of not more than 5MB in size must be clicked on the same day and submitted latest by 3PM.
  3. Entries should be in JPEG format and at least 1600 pixels wide for a horizontal image or 1600 pixels all for a vertical image.
  4. Each participant can submit up to One (1) entry.
  5. Digital manipulation that modifies, distorts the reality of the photos will not be allowed. Only basic enhancements such as sharpening, contrast adjustment, or simple cropping will be allowed.
  6. The file name for each photograph should be clearly labelled with the participant’s name, and where the photograph was taken.
  7. Entries must be the original and unpublished work of the participant and copyright owner.
  8. The Organizers reserve the right to reproduce any entry in print, broadcast and/or electronic media without requiring the permission of the participant and without any fee payment. However the photographer will be acknowledged.
  9. Images received through the photography competition will not be used for commercial purposes.
  10. The images will be selected by a panel of judges and their decision is final.
  11. Artistic/visual appeal.
  12. Extent to which the photograph captures the essence of the theme.
  13. Entries will be judged based on originality, creativity and relevance to the theme.
  14. The judging panel reserves the right not to award the prizes if the photographs submitted do not meet the requirements stated in this document.

6. DANCE COMPETITION (FOOTLOOSE)

A. GROUP DANCE ROUND
RULES AND REGULATIONS

  • Maximum entries allowed from any college: ONE
  • No. of participants allowed in a team – minimum 08 to maximum 15.
  • Time duration- 8-10 minutes
  • Each team must incorporate at least two of the following dance styles:
    • Classical
    • Semi-classical
    • Contemporary
    • Hip hop
    • Salsa
  • Negative marking for Exceeding time limit or Exceeding number of participants

B. DUET ROUND

  • Maximum entries allowed from any college: TWO
  • Time duration- 2-4 minutes
  • Negative marking for Exceeding time limit

7. SINGING COMPETITION (RAAGA)

GENERAL RULES

  • Maximum entries allowed from any college:
    * Solo: 2 Participants per college.
    * Group 1
  • Minimum and Maximum number of participants allowed in a group- 5 to 10.
  • All participants must register themeselves by 10:00 AM (Till 12 December). Entries beyond 10:00 AM will not be registered. (They can also register before by the email given on poster or call undersigned).
  • Only Hindi/English songs are allowed.
  • Time Limit of songs:
    a. SOLO: 2 TO 3 MINUTES
    b. GROUP: 4 TO 5 MINUTES
  • Negative marking will be there for exceeding the time limit.
  • Negative Marking will be there for wrong lyrics.
  • Karaoke is not allowed. This would straightway lead to disqualification of the participants.
  • Participants can bring their own instrument if they want but no extra marks are awarded for the instrument (Drum set not allowed).
  • Judge's decision will be final. It should be accepted without any argument, failing which team will be disqualified.

8. NUKKAD NATAK

  1. Only one entry per college is allowed
  2. Teams should have minimum 8 and maximum 15 members.
  3. There is only one round.
  4. Maximum duration for the Nukkad Natak is 15 minutes.
  5. Teams exceeding time limit will be penalized
  6. Socially appropriate plays are expected.
  7. Teams have to bring their own props and costumes.
  8. Usage of abusive, indecent or otherwise inappropriate language or action will lead to instant disqualification
  9. Play can be either in English/Hindi Language

9. STAND UP COMEDY (OPEN MIC)

  • Entries: 1 performance per college (stand up- Maximum 2 participants).
  • Time limit: 5-7 minutes
  • No props will be provided by coordinator. Participants have to carry their own props.
  • Participants will be judged on the basis of content, fluency, spontaneity, resentation and sense of humor.
  • No participant can point out any individual or religion in any way and any dual meaning obscene content is strictly not allowed.   

10. FASHION SHOW (MYSTIQUE)

  • There can be 10-15 participants per team exclusive of choreographer, designer and other supporting members.
  • Time limit for main round is 15 minutes (including stage set up).
  • Each team to give introduction before starting. Extra 3-4 minutes will be given for that.
  • Teams have to bring their own sound track and should submit the same 2-3 days prior in CDs in standard audio format(mp3,. wav) to the organizers.
  • Teams have to bring their own costumes and props.
  • Criteria for judging will be theme, originality, clothing, walking style and adherence to time limit.
  • Decision of judges will be final and binding.
